Post Nº4: A Sport I
love (Option A)
Swimming has been
my favorite sport since I was very small. I learned to swim when I was just 4
years old, because my father is a great swimmer and he always took us to vacay to his hometown Angol, which is a small city in the Araucanía
region in the south of Chile. I really love swimming because it provides you
freedom. When I go to a lake, I like to swim de deepest I can and then let
myself go free. Also, I love being outside in the summer. To me, being
in or near water helps to reduce feelings of stress. Just listening to the
sound of water is soothing for me. Swimming is a great way to enjoy fresh air,
sunshine, and water all at the same time. Those things combined are great at
instantly improving my mood. However, there
are many other reasons why swimming is a popular sport. Firstly, swimming is a
sport for all age groups, and it is a lifetime activity. People can learn to
swim as young as 4 or 5 years old or as old as 60 or 70. All it takes is the
right instruction and desire to get in the pool. Secondly, swimming is cheaper
than in other sports. You don't have to spend much money on implementation. All
you need is just a swimsuit that makes you feel comfortable and a pool, river,
lake or the ocean. Even though, if you have to pay for an admission ticket, these
will not be so expensive. Finally, swimming is one of the most popular sports
in the world and gives you the chance to practice it with your family, with
some friends at the pool, or just to dip yourself in cool water. Spending hours
at the pool on hot summer days are always my favorite pastime.
What about you? What sport do you love?

Would like to Practice (Option B)
There are many kinds of sports which I would like to practice these
days, for instance, basketball, volleyball, and cycling, the one I would like
to start practicing football. Football is one of the most popular sports
around the world. Basically, it is a collective game with
2 teams and each team has 11 players. The main purpose is that players try to
keep their goal safe and kick the ball to the net of their opponents. Scores
are recorded and the winner is the team having higher scores. It is also the
most famous sport in Chile and all of my family members love this sport,
especially my father and uncles. Thus, I had a chance to approach
this sport since I was 5 years old. I really love learning
it because of the drama and surprise in each match. From my perspective,
it is really difficult to learn to play soccer well. A player needs to be very
strong to compete with others, and be skillful
in ball controlling, heading as well as having team
spirit. A good football player needs to devote their free time
to practice, so I hope to have the time to practice it one day.
What about you? What sport would you like to practice?
